EL Wire & EL Panels
Surelight are the sole UK distributor of electroluminescent (EL) LyTec wire. LyTec Asia Ltd. is the proprietary manufacturer of LyTec® and the global innovator in EL wiring technology. This LyTec wire is sometimes referred to as LyTec EL wire, Neon Glow wire, Cool Neon, Neon String, Flexi Lite, Fire wire etc. There are many variations!
Surelight EL products can be divided into EL wire, and EL sheets. Our EL Lytec wire and EL Sheets are available in a wide range of colours and grades to suit your exact needs. Please click on the appropriate links below for information:

Electroluminescent Wire
If you would like to buy electroluminescent (EL) wire, you have two options.
Option 1: Choose a Length. This option allows you to buy whatever length you want, in any of our 6 grades of wire.
Option 2: Fixed Lengths. This option is the cheaper option, but you are limited to specific lengths and we only supply these lengths in our Super Bright grade.
Choose a Length
This option allows you to choose specific lengths of electroluminescent (EL) wire to suit your design needs.
Choose the grade of Neon Glow wire, colour, length and quantity, from our shop (longer lengths are lower in price), and select a power pack to suit your length(s) with any accessories required. The minimum length we supply is 1m in each grade.
Grades available:
Mini Our thinnest wire 1.2mm diameter
- Super Bright Our brightest wire 2.5mm diameter
- Heavy Duty Our robust wire 3.2mm diameter
- T-Type Stitchable wire 3.2mm diameter
- High Bright Max Our exterior wire 5mm diameter
- Super Max Our most robust wire 6mm diameter
Colours available in differing grades: Aqua, Blue, Gold, Green, Lime, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red and White.
When purchasing your EL wire, you will also need to buy power pack to power the EL wire, and connectors to connect the Neon Glow Wire to the power packs. Fixed Lengths
We have 4 fixed lengths available all supplied pre-connected for plug & play use.
Fixed lengths are only available in our Super Bright (SB) grade. To download further technical infomation about the Super Bright grade, please click here.
Fixed lengths can be cut to size, if desired, with sharp mini wire cutters. Heat shrink, or end caps, must be used to seal the end of the Neon Glow
Wire after cutting. These can be purchased from our Online Shop.
Please remember you will require a power pack for your fixed length.

EL Evaluation Kits
We have several evaluation kits available for both Neon Glow Wire and EL Sheets which will assist you to view and assess these new products.
For the Neon Glow wire we have three Evaluation Kits, and for the EL Sheets we have two; a smaller and larger kit.
- 3 piece EL wire Evaluation Kit (3 x 0.5m lengths of wire)
- 4 piece EL wire Evaluation Kit (4 x 0.5m lengths of wire)
- 6 piece EL wire Evaluation Kit (6 x 0.5m lengths of wire)
- Small EL Panel Kit (60 x 60mm) in Aqua or White
- Medium EL Panel Kit (80 x 110mm) in Aqua or White
- Large EL Panel Kit (120 x 150mm) in Aqua or White
Colours and Grades
Our EL wire Evaluation Kits can be the colours of your choice (see colours below). We will try to meet your exact choice of wire grade if at all possible (see grades below). However, we reserve the right to substitute different grades of wire for the kit chosen.
EL panel kits are only available in the colours specified.
EL wire Evaluation Kit options:
Mini: Aqua, Blue, Green, Gold, Lime, Pink, Purple and Red.
Super Bright: Aqua, Blue, Green, Gold, Lime, Pink, Purple, Red and White.
Heavy Duty: Aqua, Blue, Gold, Green, Lime, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red and White.
High Bright Max: Aqua, Blue, Gold, Green, Lime and White.
T-Type: Blue, Lime, Red and Pink.
EL Sheets
Surelight supply EL Sheets in the form of 'Panels' and 'Strips', with matching EL power packs.
- All our normal panels are fully encapsulated.
- The two base colours are White and Aqua, for all panels.
- All panels can be produced with overlays.
- The standard overlays are: Blue, Green, Red, Orange, Purple and Gold.
- Additionally the panels are supplied for either external or internal use.
As with the EL Wire, the accompanying power pack must match the amount of electroluminescent material being illuminated. For panels and strips this is calculated by the total lit area, normally in cm3.
EL Panels and Strips are not stock items; other than the EL Panel Evaluation Kits.
Normal delivery time for these products is 3 – 4 weeks.
For large quantities, screen printed EL Panels can be supplied. As with any screen printed application, there will be a tooling charge. For large quantities, delivery times can vary between 3 - 8 weeks.
